USING PUTTY TO CONNECT TO WEBSTER

Q.1) How do I connect to Webster using PuTTY?

A. If you don't already have PuTTY you can download it from the IRC website.
( http://www.usna.edu/IRC/software.html ).

  1. Open PuTTY

  2. Type in www.usna.edu for the "Host Name"

  3. Port should be "22".

  4. Make sure SSH is selected.

  5. Click on Open.

  1. Command screen will appear. At prompt "login as:" enter your Webster account login and press return.

  2. At the next prompt it will ask for the password. Enter your the Webster account password and press enter.

  3. You are now logged into your Webster account.
