A. Section 508 is a part of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 which requires that electronic and information technology developed, procured, maintained, or used by the Federal government be accessible to people with disabilities. All Federal web sites must conform to the Standards established by this law. The target date of compliance is June 26, 2001. All pages created or modified after June 26th must be in compliance.
