The application and selection process for each academic year will occur in accordance with the time line published in an ACDEAN Note in October.  In general, applications will be due in early November, with the announcement of the Kinnear Fellows made by the end of the fall semester.

Tenured faculty members of the Chemistry and Physics Departments who desire consideration as Kinnear Fellows shall submit a detailed research proposal of not more than ten (10) pages, via their department chair, to a review committee composed of one past chemistry chair, one past physics chair, and the Director of Research and Scholarship.  Applicants will be evaluated and ranked based upon their scholarly achievements and on the merit of their research proposal.  The review committee will present their recommendations via the Director of the Division of Mathematics and Science to the Academic Dean and Provost, who will make the final selection and notify the selectees. Presentation of certificates naming the selectees will be made at the Dedication Ceremony held annually during Commissioning Week at the end of the spring semester.
