Candidate Information
For information about seeking admission to the Naval Academy and becoming a midshipman, please contact our Office of Admissions. Interested in visiting the Naval Academy? The Naval Academy Summer Seminar offers an opportunity for rising high school seniors to visit the Naval Academy for one week during the summer. This program provides a comprehensive look at the Naval Academy, the academic programs offered, life as a midshipman, and Navy and Marine Corps service options.
If you've gone through the admissions process and accepted an appointment in the Class of 2017, you received or will receive a letter from the Office of the Academic Dean and Provost in your Permit to Report packet (typically mailed at the beginning of April).
Candidates for the Class of 2017 are required to provide USNA with important academic background information to facilitate their proper placement courses to start the academic year. Candidates should click here to access the Candidate Academic Background System (CABS) at http://cabs.usna.edu.
