Summer STEM Schedule
STEM Program attendees engage in project-based modules and hands-on design activities. This program will bring the latest in technological advances to the classroom and lab sessions with topics such as: Energy and Light, Infrastructure, Transportation and Cybersecurity, Simulation and Modeling, Flight and Fluids, Biometrics and Robotics,and Automation. During the Summer STEM Program, students will be exposed to all of the available STEM majors at USNA.
Monday: Travel, check in, team building activities
Tuesday: D.C. field trip to Smithsonian museums, intramural sports, engineering design activities
Wednesday: Academic modules, intramural sports, evening picnic
Thursday: Academic modules, intramural sports, shaved-ice social
Friday: Academic modules, intramural sports, talent show
Saturday*: Technology open house, closing ceremony (parent attendance optional)
*Note that session 3 is one day shorter than the other sessions and concludes on Friday. In addition, students who attend session 3 will be asked to bring a poster or presentation of a prior STEM experience (this can be any science, technology, engineering, or math project you have done previously at school.
