Candidate Tip! If you have been found medically disqualified, please comply with any additional information requests from DoDMERB. Do not send in information that is not requested (such as copies of previously submitted information, letters of recommendation from your doctor, etc.). The medical waiver process is automatic and does not need to be requested by the candidate.
Candidates, the application deadline (January 31) is rapidly approaching so don't forget to turn everything in! If you missed the nomination deadlines for your representative or senators, don't forget these three important things: 1. You can still apply for the VP nomination until JAN 31 at http://www.whitehouse.gov/administration/vice-president-biden/academy-nominations. 2. You can still be selected to attend the Naval Academy Preparatory School without a nomination (you do not need to request consideration for NAPS. All students are considered for NAPS and direct entry at the same time). 3. There is always a chance that you will get in...unless you don't finish the application!
The Vice President is authorized to nominate individuals to the United States Military, Naval, and Air Force Academies but can not nominate to the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy and does not nominate to the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.
