Step 8. Blue and Gold Officer Interview:

The Candidate Guidance Office coordinates a nationwide network of trained Naval Academy Information Officers called Blue and Gold Officers. These officers, located in every state, are well qualified to counsel you on all aspects of the Naval Academy. School guidance offices should be familiar with the local Blue and Gold Officer.

In addition to being a source of information and counsel, an official interview with the local Blue and Gold Officer is required in order to complete an application. The local Blue and Gold Officer will contact the candidate to schedule this interview upon 50% completion of the application.
