If you’re interested in starting a piece or learning more we invited you to come by. We are located in the catacombs above the rotunda. If you get lost, keep going in the same direction and you’ll come to our door eventually!!

NMCRS Poster Contest
The Academy's Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society Fund Drive for 2005 is 23Mar-21Apr. (For more information on NMCRS, go to www.nmcrs.org) As a pre-drive event, the Brigade has been invited to participate in the annual poster contest for this year's drive. The poster must convey this year's theme:

"WE PROTECT THEM WHILE YOU'RE PROTECTING US"

Entries should be submitted on a white 8.5"x11" sheet of paper. Deadline for submission is 1600 on 07Mar05 and can be turned in at Brigade Dental. Entries will be judged on artistic quality, originality, patriotism, and how well the poster conveys this year's theme. The winning submission will be used as the design for this year's poster promoting the drive. The midshipman with the winning entry will win a $150 gift package as well as $200 for his/her company's wardroom fund.

Measure for Measure
The English Department is looking for Midshipman artwork to include in a commemorative handbook for the Brady sponsored performance of Measure for Measure. They are interested in any related material, but have suggested pictures of scenes from the play. For more information on the performance, go to http://www.usna.edu/EnglishDept/MeasureForMeasure.html.

Life Drawing Classes
We have been invited to attend a life drawing class at St. John’s. Sessions will happen every other Wednesday night at 6:30. Though this hasn’t been approved, we still need a list of names of those interested. There are only seats for 4-6 artists, so first reply basis!

Logo Design Contest
The Air & Waste Management Association is having a logo design contest open to all college students. Prize: $1000!! Click here for more information.

Mural Opportunity
The USNA Barbershop has asked us to do a mural. The project has been approved by LT Dalton but designs must be approved by higher-ups before any paint gets on the wall. If you are interested in helping with this project, please contact 2/C Shultis or 3/C Misch.

USNA Christmas Card
In years past it was a tradition for the midshipmen to design the official USNA Christmas Card. The Art Club wants to bring this tradition back. We ask all interested to put together their own designs. Though this is just a concept at the moment, we won’t be able to progress with out any art.

A reminder that Labyrinth, the USNA literary magazine, is now accepting submissions for its 2004-2005 issue.
