The U.S. Naval Academy Modified Operations Policy instruction is USNAINST 12610.4 (series). (Note: This policy is under revision to address changes in DoD terminology regarding mission essential/emergency essential, and to incorporate DEC 2014 guidance from the Office of Personnel Management regarding installation closure).
The Hazardous Weather Information Line number is (410) 293-0032. This number can handle 75 calls at once, so if it's busy, keep trying. Weather related notices will be published via email, AtHoc, departmental/divisional telephone "trees," the USNA Public and Intranet website home pages, and the following radio/TV stations:
Essential Personnel: Division/Department heads determine, within their organizations, those individuals that are "Essential Personnel." All essential personnel shall be designated in writing.
USNA MODIFIED OPERATIONS POLICY
** Employees do not receive administrative leave for delayed arrival if they are on leave the entire scheduled workday. Similarly, if early dismissal is issued, employees already on leave do not receive administrative leave.
