Designing Assignments and Exams

Starting with course learning objectives, participants will create a test blueprint and learn the guiding principles for constructing effective and efficient homework assignments, quizzes, and exams. The emphasis will be on aligning course activities with the course learning objectives. By the end of the workshop participants will have created prototype assessment items based on their test blueprint.  There will be a discussion of options of dealing with poor performance of students.
