Engaging the Library: Using findings on student research to design better assignments

This 90 minute workshop will present an overview of findings from the Project Information Literacy (PIL) research reports.  PIL is a national study about early adults and their information-seeking behaviors, competencies, and the challenges they face when conducting research in the digital age.  Using thee findings, faculty and librarians can collaborate to design better and more effective assignments that include a meaningful library research experience for students while also achieving the instructor's learning objectives.  Please join us for an informative presentatio and lively discussion.  You will eave this workshop with specific ideas on how to create library-based research assignments that work.
