CHARACTERISTICS OF SUCCESSFUL GRADUATES OF THE OCEANOGRAPHY DEPARTMENT

 

 

To be a successful graduate of the Oceanography Department a student must:

1- Understand the properties, structure and motions of the Atmosphere and Ocean in the geophysical sense and as translated into mathematical equations.

2- Acquire a unified understanding of the marine environment in its diverse aspects and display the capacity to relate it to the demands of naval operations.

3- Have the ability to integrate the acquired knowledge and use it to process solutions to situations that involve a higher level of reasoning.

4- Demonstrate ability to think independently and critically.

5- Build a basic Meteorology/Oceanography personal reference library.
