Services

The IDSC offers a variety of services to USNA faculty:

Individual Consultation
The Instructional Design Technologist provides faculty support in integrating existing and emerging technologies into teaching and learning processes and consultation on using good pedagogy for teaching with technology.

Workshops
A variety of workshops are offered each semester to support faculty use of technology for their teaching and research. Workshops will focus on Blackboard and the most often used software packages. See the Workshops page for the list of current offerings.

Training on Demand
In addition to the workshops, the Instructional Design Technologist also offers training at the faculty member's request and convenience. It can be designed for group or one-one-one training and presented at requested times and locations.

Special Projects
Consultation is also provided on the use of technology for special instructional design and development projects, such as creating course web sites, producing multimedia presentations, streaming video, desktop videoconferencing, etc.
