Welcome to the
home page of the U. S. Naval Academy Chapel!
PLEASE NOTE:
The USNA Main
Chapel is currently undergoing renovations. Portions
of the Main Chapel will be temporarily closed to visitors until
further notice. Construction will not occur during
Commissioning Week.
The work will
include plaster repairs, new interior paint, refinishing of the
wooden pews and the wood floor, repair and refinishing of the
exterior and vestibule wood doors and replacement of aisle
carpeting.
The work is
anticipated to be completed by December 2009. The Academy
Chapel staff will strive to minimize the impact to the congregation
and the many events that occur throughout the year.

The historic
Chapel at the center of the Yard – and it's landmark dome – are
symbolic of the vital role that moral and spiritual guidance plays
in the development of Midshipmen into naval officers.
The daily work
of delivering religious ministry at the Academy is accomplished by a
dedicated team of experienced active-duty Navy chaplains, Religious
Program Specialists, civilian employees, and volunteers.
While our
ministry is focused on the Brigade of Midshipmen, we welcome guests
and visitors to our public services. (For a listing of public
services, please click here.)
The Naval
Academy Chapel – is open for visitors most weekdays, except when
the Chapel is being used for weddings, funerals and memorial
services, and other special events.
Thank you for visiting our home
page!
