Plebe Parent Information Page
Welcome to the United States Naval Academy Family
We know that you are very proud of your Plebes as they begin their journeys as midshipmen at the United States Naval Academy. We will do our very best to provide spiritual care for your sons and daughters during their time here. While we provide faith-specific worship and religious education, we care for all individuals, regardless of their faith preferences.
If you have specific concerns about your Plebe, please feel free to contact the Chaplain Center with your questions. Chaplain John Connolly is our Plebe Summer Parents' Point of Contact, and he can be reached via email at momschap@usna.eduor telephone at 443-261-5608. During the Academic Year, the best point of contact would be your midshipmen's battalion chaplains.
This brochure describes the various programs facilitated by the Chaplain Center as well as the names and contact information for our personnel. Please feel free to participate in the various faith-specific activities that are open to the public when visiting Annapolis.
While uniformed Navy Chaplains can only conduct the religious worship services of their own faiths, they remain deeply committed to the free exercise of religion for all midshipmen. Chaplains coordinate appropriate guidance for Muslim, LDS, Buddhist, Hindu, Secular Humanist, and other faith groups for our midshipmen with qualified civilian or military lay leaders.
