Facilities

The Wireless Lab, operating within the Electrical Engineering Department at the US Naval Academy has access to a variety of integrated laboratory facilities that are used for both classroom instruction and research efforts.   The resources available among these labs for research include:

• Several Broadband Spectrum Analyzers
• Several High-Speed Digitizing Oscilloscopes
• High-Performance Bit Error Rate Tester
• Broadband Vector Signal Analyzer
• Broadband Network Analyzer
• Picosecond Labs UWB Evaluation Kit
• Numerous Broadband and Utra-broadband Antennas

 Additionally, access to other on-site labs, USNA Yard Patrol ships, off-site Navy research facilities, as well as Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Labs, can be arranged as part of a research effort.  Construction of a small, indoor anechoic chamber within the Wireless Lab for simple antenna testing and evaluation is currently being planned, and should become available within the next 1-2 years.
