rocking, or other nervous behavior.)

should be natural and varied, rising in energy when the emphasis on a particular
point rises.The good speaker will
have a wide range of gestures small, medium, and large.If
a midshipman is self-conscious about his or her gestures (they usually
be small and intermittent) make them practice using their entire upper-body
as they are speaking.Encourage them
to exaggerate their Gestures.)
Eye Contact corrections: _______________________________________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
(Ensure
that the speaker is making eye contact with everyone in the audience.If
they are looking at the floor or out into space or at the ceiling more
than 5% of their speech they need to work on focusing on their audience.)

(Movement
should be natural.Watch for nervous
feet tappings and other annoying movement tics.Let
them know if they move too much or too quickly.Look
for the other extreme as well.)
