This year's topic is non-U.S. perspectives on the ethics of initiating and conducting warfare—including Chinese, Iranian, Russian, radical Islamic, Indian, Japanese, and EU perspectives.  Our main goals are to understand the current warfare ethics perspectives of foreign military leaders and to delve into the philosophical/religious traditions that inform, or could inform, these perspectives.
