General Access Procedures

  • Team vehicles must be school, charter or rental vehicles.  No personal vehicles will be given entry.
  • Team vehicles must enter and exit via gate 8.  Access will be granted only to drop off or pick up team members.
  • Team vehicles are not permitted to park on the USNA grounds.  Parking is available at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.

If your team intends to use personal vehicles instead of a school, charter or rental vehicle, the best way to enter the Naval Academy is by foot through Gate 1.  The driver should drop students off outside the gate and then proceed to parking at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.

Please do not park your team vehicle at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium and have the whole team ride the shuttle.  This stresses our shuttle system and causes delays.  Drivers only on the shuttles please.

If your vehicle has current Department of Defense registration stickers you will be granted access at any USNA gate.

Extra Tools Transportation

  • Tool vehicles will only be granted access on Thursday morning and Saturday afternoon.
  • Tool vehicles are not permitted to park on the USNA grounds.  Parking is available at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.
  • The driver listed on the registration form must be in the vehicle for each entry.
  • Trailers and enclosed trucks (i.e. rental vans, moving trucks) require additional inspections. Please proceed to the inspection site before you go to Gate 8.

Identification Requirements

All adults must have a valid government issued identification in order to enter the Naval Academy.  Students without identification must be accompanied by an adult in order to be granted access.  Students with their own picture identification may enter without an adult.  Valid identification includes driver's license, passport, school id, etc.
