Biography:

Jim Bradford taught at the Naval Academy, 1973-8.  While teaching at Texas A&M University, since 1981, he taught in Malaysia, 1987-88; and was a Visiting Professor at the Air War College, 1995-97. He served as president of the North American Society for Oceanic History, 2008-2011.
