About the Job: 
This position is located in the Midshipman Food Service Division (MFSD), U.S. Naval Academy. The function of the Division is to provide a complete food services the 4,500 member Brigade of Midshipman and other authorized guests.  The primary purposes of this position is to work with and lead groups of cooks and foods service workers in the preparing and portioning menu items for service to the Brigade in the Midshipman Wardroom and to maintain the highest levels of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the Galley and associated spaces.

 

The Cook Leader must have the following skills and knowledge to fulfill their assigned duties. Principles and applications of basic mathematics (Addition, Subtraction, Division, Multiplication, Percentages, Ratios, Ect.) and measurement conversion. Principles and methods of Volume preparation. Principles and techniques of subsistence warehousing and storage.
