About the Job:  This position is located in the Academic Dean and Provost's Cost Center and assigned to the Language Learning Center (LLC) in the Language Studies Department. The incumbent has responsibility for daily operations of the LLC, for supervising midshipmen learning activities in the LLC, for overseeing the internal windows NT server and associated operating environment and for providing administrative and technical expertise to support interactive multi-media (IMM) instruction  in multimedia learning center. The incumbent oversees, coordinated and supervises the day to day operations of the LLC and all Language Studies classroom interactive multimedia equipment and the resources, provides technical support to midshipmen and faculty on use of audiovisual and interactive multimedia hardware and software, and monitors the readiness of LLC and research equipment and classroom facilities for the language Studies Department. Plans and coordinates with the Information Technology Service Division the administrative, security, maintenance, and monitoring of the operations of the Language Studies server and its associated operating environment. Satellite dish operating and recording. Schedules, monitors quality and continuity , and optimizes reception, analog distribution, and digital  recording of foreign language broadcast video from satellite dish and/or cable television feeds. Incumbent will occasionally be required to work evening or weekend hours with compensatory time off during the normal working hours. .
