POSITION DESCRIPTION
The United States Naval Academy's Economics Department invites
applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position that begins
August 2014. We offer a major in Quantitative Economics that is taught
jointly with the Mathematics Department as well as a traditional
Economics major. Teaching opportunities include microeconomics,
industrial organization, statistics and other advanced microeconomic
electives. Teaching load is 3 courses per semester with small section
sizes (10-25 students).
Tenure-track faculty are well-supported with professional development
opportunities.
MINIMUM AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates should have both a robust research agenda and a strong
commitment to undergraduate teaching.
It is preferred that candidates complete PhD level requirements by
August 2014.
