Born to farming family in Rupert Idaho, LT Perry Hepworth joined the Leadership, Ethics, and Law Department in the winter of 2010 teaching sections in the NL110 Plebe Leadership course and NS423 Senior Aviation Practicum class. LT Hepworth earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics at the University of Wisconsin – Madison while on a ROTC scholarship and will graduate with a Master of Business Administration from the University of Maryland Smith School of Business in May 2012.
After attending flight school in Pensacola, Florida, LT Hepworth selected the EA-6B Prowler and flew with the VAQ-140 Patriots out of NAS Whidbey Island, Washington as an Electronic Countermeasures Officer (ECMO). While with the Patriots, LT Hepworth held billets as Legal Officer, Schedules Officer, Line Division Officer and Personnel Officer while serving two deployments aboard USS Dwight D. Eisenhower CVN-69 to both Iraq and Afghanistan in operations supporting Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. For his contributions to VAQ-140, LT Hepworth earned two Strike Flight Air Medals, the Navy Achievement Medal and several other various campaign and unit citations. LT Hepworth now serves as the Assistant Deputy Director in the LEAD Division.
