Mission Statement

A. The mission of the Leadership Presentation Team is to provide midshipmen an opportunity to refine their leadership and communication skills by developing material on topics in leadership pertinent to young leaders and presenting this material to educational institutions, service organizations, and the Brigade of Midshipmen. Every action of the Leadership Presentation Team will support this central purpose.

B. Vision to 2008: The Leadership Presentation Team is a vibrant organization with many members. There is significant interest within the Brigade to become part of the Leadership Presentation Team. The Team’s members comprise many elements that each focus on a particular aspect of leadership. Over the past three years, the Leadership Presentation Team has made 15 presentations and the demand for the Team continues to exceed its availability. The Team has also published two brochures on leadership that have found wide distribution among secondary schools on the East Coast. The Superintendent, the Commandant, and the Dean of Admissions have all acknowledged the contributions that the Team has made to developing midshipman leaders and assisting in the Academy’s recruiting process. Seven high-level leaders in the Brigade have experience in the Leadership Presentation Team.
