Web Software in Development

Visual Basic 3.0 / 5.0 applications for web developers and users.
No Documentation, but fairly intuitive. Most are self-extracting Zip files. Refer to heavily commented .INI files.

To avoid duplicate files, the VBRUN300.DLL, IPPORT.VBX and IPPORT.LIC can be moved to your C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory.

Download CopyResources
Windows 95 program to copy "web resources" (graphics, sound, video files, html files) from the A drive to the Desktop or a subdirectory.
Intended to speed up classroom presentations (student or instructor brings resources on a diskette, copies rapidly to a temporary drive from which they are presented).
End-user customizable version (source / destination directories, file types) in development.

Download List Browser
Windows 95 program to browse from file with list of URLs. Pre-alpha release

Download HTMLIndex for Windows 3.x (16-bit version, requires VBRUN300.DLL)
Creates HTML index page to Web resources (HTML, graphics, video, sound, text) in a local directory. Supports thumbnails and direct display of graphics, either orginal size or scaled to screen.

Download HTMLIndex for Windows 95 (stand-alone 32-bit version, supports long filenames)

Download WebFetch
Batch download of files from Web -- useful for large or many files over slow connections.

Download MakeLink
Combines a URL (e.g. from clipboard) with an anchor (link) text and comments which you provide, combines and copies both to the clipboard for pasting into your HTML editor.

Download IEFaves
Creates HTML index page and allows cutting and pasting "Shortcuts" from Win95 version of MS Internet Explorer 3.0 "Favorites" files. Clunky, since programmed in VizBas 3.0, which does not support long filenames directly, but it works.

Download CharPad Windows Text Editor
Makes entry and printing of foreign language characters a breeze!

Download MailPad editor
Support for character conversion, HTML to ANSI / ASCII etc, plus direct mailing from editor. See documentation for CharPad
