Reference-Bibliographer for English and American Literature / Art

Michael Macan serves as the liaison to the U.S. Naval Academy's English Department and is also responsible for selecting resources for Art.  As one of Nimitz Library's Reference-Bibliographers he selects materials that support the teaching and research needs of faculty and midshipmen in English and other related areas.  He is available to provide general library instruction at various levels, including specific sessions on information literacy, literary biography, and researching literary criticism.  Michael is also interested in assisting faculty and midshipmen with their individual research projects and welcomes inquiries and suggestions regarding the Library's collections and resources for English and Art.  Michael currently serves as the contact person and librarian responsible for the Nimitz Library's Midshipmen Only Recreational Reading Collection.
