Audiovisuals Collection: 16MM FILMS

USNA has a large collection of older 16mm films. Most of these films were transferred to the Naval Academy in the 1960's as training products. These films are not listed in the Library Catalog, and in most cases the title is the only clue as to the content. The Multimedia Support Center (MSC) has several 16mm projectors that can be used to show any of these films. Faculty can also request that MSC investigate the transfer of specific films to videotape or DVD for classroom purposes. Faculty members requesting to view a film or a transfer of films to video formats need to contact MSC at msc@usna.edu to schedule projectors or to ask MSC to transfer specific items to video formats.
