Directions to Spring Races

Directions to Princeton University Boathouse

Take NJ Turnpike to exit 9, New Brunswick.
After tolls, stay to the right and get onto Route 18 North.
After merging onto 18 North, stay to the left to stay on 18.
Take the Route 1 South exit for Princeton.
Take Route 1 South for approx. 25-30 minutes.
Once near Princeton, turn right on Washington Rd.
The Princeton Boathouse will be on the left after the bridge.
If you want to drive to the finish line of the race course, continue on Washington Rd. up the hill through Princeton.
At the top of the hill, turn right onto Nassau St. (Route 27).
Continue on Nassau approx. 3 miles until you will see a parking lot next to the Lake on the right.

Directions to Mercer County Park (Yale Race)
West Windsor, NJ

From North and South via U.S. 1

From North, take exit 9 on NJ Turnpike and take Route 1 South toward Princeton.
From South, come up 95 near Philadelphia and exit onto Route 1 towards Princeton/New Brunswick.
U.S. 1 to Quaker Bridge Road (overpass at Quaker Bridge Mall)
South on Quaker Bridge Road (533)
2 Miles to Hughes Drive (after third traffic light)
Left onto Hughes (Van Nest Wildlife Refuge near left corner)
Take Hughes Drive to the rowing venue entrance on left.
From North on Route 206
Route 206 into Princeton
Left at traffic light by Borough Municipal Building onto Nassau Street
Go 3 traffic lights to Washington Road
Washington Road to U.S. Route 1 South
Use directions for "From North and South via U.S. 1"

Directions to NYAC Boathouse Launching Area

New Rochelle, NY (Rutgers/Columbia Race)

Take I-95 (New England Thruway) North after the GW Bridge or South coming from New England
Then take Hutchinson River Parkway North (from New Jersey), or South (from New England).
Then take City Island/Orchard Beach exit. Follow to Stop sign.
Proceed 3/4 around traffic circle to Shore Road North Exit.
Take Shore Rd. North a few miles, past blinking light (NYAC) where it turns into Pelham Rd. Stay on Pelham and turn right onto Weyman Ave.
Take Weyman Ave. into Glen Island Park. Teams will be launching near the Castle.
To watch the race from the finish line, retrace your steps across Weyman, left onto Pelham Rd. which turns into Shore Rd.
Stay on Shore Rd. even after traffic circle.
Eventually turn left onto City Island Rd. which will take you to another circle. Go 3/4 around circle and onto Park Dr. which will lead you to a parking area and the finish line of the race course.

Directions to Rutgers Boathouse, New Brunswick, NJ

NJ Turnpike to exit 9, New Brunswick. (Rutgers University)
After tolls, stay to the right and get onto Route 18 North.
After merging onto 18 North, stay to the left to stay on 18.
After going through first traffic light stay in the right lane and turn right into small boathouse driveway at the bottom of the hill. It will be just before the second traffic light.
