Homeless Resource Day

Homeless Resource Day is a community outreach program designed to centralize a myriad of amenities for the homeless community. Amenities include medical attention, dental work, optometric assistance, hair cutting parlor, food stamp sign-up, benefits sign-up, housing help, child care services, veterans benefits, photo identification and others. HRD takes place annually at Glen Burnie High School on Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard. Volunteers act as guides to the homeless; taking them to the different stations and ensuring that they accomplish everything they came to HRD for.

Although there are volunteers from other organizations, USNA is the most represented. Over 100 Midshipmen volunteers accounted for more than half of the overall volunteer roster this year. USNA's presence at this event is greatly appreciated by the community. http://www.volunteerannearundel.org/AACHRD.html
