STUDENTS TAKING ACTIVE RESPONSIBILITY to SUCCEED (STARS)

Judge Dawson has established a new hope for troubled youth that come across him in his courtroom. They appear before him because they are rebelling against parents, teachers, society, or any other form of authority. Refusing to lock teens up as if they have no future, he has taken an active interest in their and the community’s future. Volunteering his own time, he, along with lawyer Garland Stillwell and others, have pulled together resources for every Saturday of the month, for the specific purpose of aiding those young people academically. It is his goal to make them more educated and to entice them to turn their energies toward real world employment opportunities.
