MSC Graphics Technology Lab
MSC Graphics Lab is located on the 1st deck of the Nimitz Library with a full range of computers, software, printers, sign-making equipment and other resources to help faculty, staff and midshipmen with classroom and other academic presentations. The Graphics Lab is a self-help facility with dedicated, knowledgeable graphic artists who can provide design assistance and media use instruction. Faculty may request multimedia instruction and use of the lab for their students.
The lab is equipped with both PC and Macs for scanning, media digitizing, video editing, computer graphics, large format printing, vinyl graphics, poster-making, laminating and binding.
Software programs include the Adobe Creative Suites 5, (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Premiere) Adobe Acrobat Professional, Pinnacle Studio 15, Sony Sound Forge, Camtasia, and Microsoft Office 2010.
MSC does not support or provide materials for the creation of “Pro Reports”, Bancroft Hall “Boards”, personal use projects or quantity printing. For more information on approved uses, please review the MSC Graphics Policy and MSC Reproduction Policy.
Graphics Technology Lab - Monday - Thursday, 0730-2300, Friday 730-1700 when classes are in session during the fall and spring semesters. Monday - Friday 0800 - 1700 during the summer and holiday/spring breaks.
The graphics lab will also be open 1400-2300 on Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans' Day, Martin Luther King's Birthday, and Presidents' Day.
