MWR South Severn Swimming Pool is open to active duty, retired military, active reservists, current and retired Department of Defense civilian employees (Civil Service and Non-appropriated), family members in all of these categories and Midshipmen at the U.S. Naval Academy, Naval Academy Athletic Association Personnel and USNA Alumni Association Personnel.

    North Severn Swimming Pool will be closed until further notice.
 

SEASON POOL PASSES

Passes are sold at the MWR Recreation Services Bldg. #89, Naval Support Activity Annapolis (410-293-9200), Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Full Season:  May 25 through September 2, 2013

Half Season:  May 25 to July 14 or July 14 to September 2, 2013 

SWIMMING LESSONS - MINIMUM AGE IS 4 FOR LESSONS
        Certified American Red Cross Learn-To-Swim lessons will be offered in three regular 8-day sessions at the South Pool (subject to change based on availability of instructors). Lessons are scheduled between 0900 and 1145, Tuesday through Friday only.  Registration is at the MWR Recreation Services Bldg. #89, Naval Support Activity Annapolis.   Bring any swimming certifications from previous classes at the time you register.

Session I:  June 18 - 28, 2013
Registration:  Saturday, June 8, 0830-1030,  Bldg. #89 Lobby

Session II:  July 9 - 19. 2013
Registration:  Saturday, June 29, 0830-1030, Bldg. #89 Lobby

Session III:  Available only if staffing permits.

    All lessons will be held rain or shine.  If pool is closed by 0900 due to heavy rain, thunder or lightning, all lessons are cancelled for the day.  There are no make-up classes.
            Levels 1-3:  30-minute classes are $46Active Duty; $52/others
            Levels 4-6:  45-minute classes are $58/Active Duty, $64/others.

Reservations for pool parties must be made in person at the Recreation Services Building #89, 410-293-9200. Proper ID is required. Customer must select number of pools when booking a party to ensure the appropriate number of lifeguards is available. Full payment is required at time of reservation. Use of alcohol requires prior approval from MWR management to ensure age-appropriate lifeguards are available for alcohol pool parties.

SWIM FOR FITNESS:

    Fitness lap swimming is offered Tuesdays through Fridays, except Holidays for two open lanes at South Severn Pool.
