 The Navy Commercial  Sponsor & Partnership Program, a Department of Defense program, allows MWR Funds world-wide to receive assistance, funding, goods, equipment or services from a company, corporation or other entity (sponsor) for programs or events for a specific period in return for public recognition, advertising or product promotion.  DoD authorizes local MWR departments to competitively solicit and accept both unsolicited and solicited corporate sponsorships for MWR programs and events.  Solicitation for commercial sponsorship and the acceptance of any sponsorship offer is authorized to be conducted only by the authorized MWR representative (coordinator) of the local military MWR department and only for MWR events.

 The Morale, Welfare and Recreation Department, Naval Support Activity Annapolis is currently soliciting commercial/corporate sponsors for a wide range of its 2013 special events, programs and activities to include Fitness, Sports, Child and Youth, Special Events, Month of the Military Child, Liberty and Month of the Military Family Events. Revenues generated through sponsorship are used specifically to enhance and offer
new quality of life programs for our service members and their families.

By sponsoring these events, sponsors develop brand loyalty, consumer affiliation, and  promotion of their products and services to more than 2100 military, 2,200 DoD Civilians, 600 DoD Contractors and 5000 family members, not to mention the 55,000 retired military who live within a 20-mile radius of Annapolis are are eligible to use MWR .
