Youth Center Offers Youth Basketball League / Clinic (January 7 to February 25, 2012)
Sign your child up now as spaces are limited for the annual Youth Basketball Clinic which will run for 6 sessions on Saturdays from January 7 through February 25, 2012 at the MWR Recreation Services Bldg. #89 gym (there are no sessions on 1/14/12 and 2/18/2012 for observations of federal holidays). Youth will learn basic drills and will participate in a scrimmage at the end of each session. Registration runs through December at Billy the Kid Youth Center (Bldg 126 , NSA Annapolis). Cost is $50 per child and includes a jersey & trophy. Eligibility includes AD Military, DOD Civilians, USNA Contractors, Reservists, Retirees. Please provide a copy of your child’s birth certificate at time of registration. Age Eligibility: Ages 5 & 6 ........ 9 to10 a.m. (Saturday session time) Ages 7-10 ........ 10 to 11 a.m. (Saturday session time) Volunteer coaches are needed! Youth Center Ongoing Events

Teen Fun Night

During the school year, MWR Youth Programs hosts a Teen Fun Night on the first Friday of each month from 4:30 to 6 p.m. For more information, contact the Youth Center at 410-293-9396.

Teen Room

Monday -Friday from 3 to 5:30 p.m. for middle school and high school kids with a YC membership.
Teens can use the computers with internet connection, TV/VCR, and GameCube.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff will help kids with homework and provide supplies.

Open Recreation

During the school year, Open Recreation for kids ages 6-17 is every Friday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and is free. Ages 10 and under must be signed in and out by a parent.

Teen Fitness / Weight Training Workouts

During the academic year, workout sessions for ages 11-17 are offered Monday and Wednesday from 5 to 6 p.m. at the MWR Fitness Center, Bldg. #89. During the summer, workouts are on Mondays from 5 to 6 p.m. Parental permission slip is needed before teens can participate in the program.
