Class meetings: Tuesday & Thursday 0955-1110 in Chauvenet 119.
The course will cover selections from chapter 3-13 (regression, principle components, factor analysis, multidimensional scaling, cluster analysis, canonical correlation, structural equation models, MANOVA, discriminant analysis, and logit models). For each chapter covered, students will select one problem that uses data from the text as a guide and submit a solution to an interesting question.
There will be no
final exam. Students will find a data set on the internet and submit a report using
this data and answering an interesting question. This report is due at 0800 May
5, 2003.
