Course Description

 

An introductory course that emphasizes the mechanics of structures containing composite materials. Topics covered include the generalized Hooke's Law, lamina constitutive relationships, mechanics of fiber reinforced lamina, lamina strength analysis, and the mechanics of composite laminates. Analysis is accomplished through computer lab assignments.
