Catalog Description

 

Review of solution methods to frequently encountered engineering problems such as cylindrical and spherical heat conduction, wave dynamics, boundary layers and vibrations.  Includes both analytical and numerical problem solving techniques.   Weekly lab introduces numerical methods using FORTRAN scientific computing language.  Intended for engineering students who plan to attend graduate engineering programs.
