The purpose of the Golden Key National Honor Society (GKNHS) is to recognize academic achievement among midshipmen, and provide leadership and service opportunities.  The USNA-chapter of GKNHS is part of the larger Golden Key International Honor Society, headquartered in Altanta, GA.  The top 15% of midshipmen in their 1/C, 2/C, and 3/C years are invited to join.  A new member induction ceremony is held every fall, and Golden Key members can attend regional meetings, participate in service projects, and apply for scholarship awards.
