Phi Alpha Theta

The USNA Chapter of the Phi Alpha Theta Historical Honor Society seeks to promote the study of history by encouraging research, teaching, and the exchange of ideas between its members. With almost 400,000 members nationwide, this academic honor society provides opportunities for scholarship and other awards to further the study of history at the undergraduate and graduate levels of historical study. Once inducted students and faculty are members for life. The minimum requirements for undergraduate admission are a minimum of 12 semester hours of History with a minimum of 3.1 GPA and a 3.0 overall GPA. Membership is not limited to History Majors.[1]
