The mission of the National Society of Black Engineers is to increase the number of culturally responsible minority engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community.

The USNA chapter of NSBE has a strong focus on mentorship and personal development.  Its activities include guest lectures with leaders in the Military and Business communities, tutorial programs, group study sessions, community outreach programs, and participation in regional and national conferences.
