Biography:

During the 2012-2013 academic year the Center for Middle East and Islamic Studies hosted visiting Israeli scholar Professor Daniel Zisenwine, who normally teaches at Tel Aviv University in Israel. Prof. Zisenwine is a specialist in North African history and politics. His most recent publications focus on Morocco. While at the Academy, Prof. Zisenwine taught two courses in Middle East politics for the Political Science department and two courses in the history of Israel and North Africa for the History department. This visiting appointment is made possible by a grant from the American-Israel Cooperation Enterprise (AICE) and a generous gift from the Naval Academy’s Friends of the Jewish Chapel.
