About the Women's Glee Club
The United States Naval Academy Women's Glee Club, under the direction of Ms. Cindy Bauchspies, was founded in l976 when women first entered the Naval Academy. The chorus has performed across America and internationally, including tours to California, Florida, Hawaii, New York, North and South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Rome, and London. Now in its 28th Anniversary season, this exciting choral ensemble frequently sings in concert with the Men's Glee Club, notably in the Academy's annual presentation of Handel's Messiah, the Spring Oratorio, and have appeared on the nationally televised "Christmas in Washington." The Women's Glee Club has a diverse repertoire which includes classical, sacred, folk, patriotic, popular and Broadway music.
