EXPERIENCE:
As a principal investigator Navigation
Branch, Mr. Webb is responsible for planning, accomplishing, and reporting
on studies concerning modifications to Federal navigation channels. This
usually involves a ship simulation study, prototype data collection, or
both. Ship simulation studies include: Sacramento River Ship Channel,
Elizabeth River, Houston/Galveston Ship Channels, Brownsville Ship
Channel, San Juan Harbor, Charleston Harbor, Corpus Christi, and several
locations on the Gulf IntraCoastal Waterway on the Texas Gulf coast. Mr.
Webb has been involved in prototype ship transit surveys for the Houston
Ship Channel, Newport News Creek, Brewerton Extension and Tolchester
Channels, and the James River.
Prior to working with the ship simulator,
Mr. Webb was principle investigator on physical sedimentation modeling.
Experience in physical modeling includes: shoaling studies for St. Louis
municipal docks, scour studies for the Jefferson Barracks Bridge at St.
Louis, and automation of the Mississippi Basin Model.
Mr. Webb worked for the New Orleans
District for 1 year prior to coming to WES in January 1984.
