CMDCM (FMF/CAC) Beth A. Nilson, USN
Command Master Chief
Command Master Chief Beth A. Nilson entered the U.S. Navy in 1995, attending recruit training at Recruit Training Command Great Lakes, IL. Her military education includes Machinist Mate “A” School, Hospital Corpsman “A” School in Great Lakes, IL, Field Medical Service School in Camp Pendleton, CA, the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy Class 62 in Fort Bliss, Tx, and the CMC/COB Course.
Prior to her current assignment as Command Master Chief for the Naval Academy Preparatory School she was assigned to Shore Intermediate Maintenance Activity Norfolk, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, Field Medical Training Battalion and I Marine Expeditionary Force. She completed two combat tours in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Iraq, and one in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, Helmand Province, Afghanistan.
She earned the Enlisted Fleet Marine Force Warfare with Marine Wing Support Squadron 372. Her personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal with three strike/flights, Navy Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal with four gold stars, Combat Action Ribbon, Combat Aircrew Insignia with three stars, and several campaign and unit awards. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology.
