Jeff Storer....#6....defense....5-9....190....Ocean Engineering major...Hometown: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania....was elected by his teammates as co-captain for this season along with classmate Matty Thomas...as a junior last year he demonstrated increased leadership abilities, especially off the ice....a steady, playmaking defenseman, he's not hesitant to rush the puck and go to the goal on the offensive end....his lone goal last season came in the Mids' 6-4 loss at Drexel following the winter holiday break...scored one of the season's most beautiful goals in his sophomore year on a power play in the ECHA playoff game with Drexel off a feed from J.D. Walker...he was frequently paired on the backline last season with Adam Sheppard and Jim Doherty...Parents: Jim and Cindy...Brother: Jim...Jeff graduated from Upper St. Clair High School, where he played defense all four years...he also played on Team Pittsburgh in the Chicago Showcase and on the Mid-American Team in the Select 15 Festival...he helped his team win five state championships and two district championships with the Beaver County Badgers Hockey Club...Why did you decide to go to USNA: “For opportunities in both the military and civilian fields after graduation, and to serve my country”...How has that decision affected your life: “I have really grown up and matured over the past three years; the Academy has prepared me to lead people and I am anxiously awaiting the challenge”...
