LAUREL, MD (Friday, November 17, 2006) -- Navy's ice hockey team spotted the
University of Maryland a 2-0 lead in the game's first eight minutes, then
outscored the Terrapins 6-1 the rest of the way to post a 6-3 win Friday
night at Gardens Ice House.

With the victory, the Midshipmen improved their overall season record to

some aggressive play, hard hits, and numerous scoring chances. The Mids
pulled within 2-1 when Nolan Anliker fired a hard wrist shot past Maryland
netminder Bryan Barr at 7:41 while Navy was on a power play, the lone assist
going to linemate Patrick Sullivan.

Hinkley at rhe 12:16 mark, assists going to Anliker and Matt Swezey. Navy
then took its first lead of the night at 15:30, when Donnie Horner fired a
rebound of a Sullivan shot past Barr, with Jeff Martin also assisting.

night) and Jim Doherty. Maryland got back in the game when Nick Torre was
pulled down from behind on a breakaway, then subsequently beat Navy
netminder Eric Anderson on a penalty shot at 12:02 to pull within 4-3.

Schwob got the first at 18:22, after taking a beautiful cross ice pass from
Kevin Krmpotich. Senior captain Jay Alspach also picked up an assist.
Sullivan then got an unassisted empty net goal at 19:24 to give the Mids the
final 6-3 margin of victory.

and Schwob with Jon Westerman and Keegan Kincade on a third line....Hinkley
was teamed with Andrew Stoner and Derek Johnson on the fourth
line....Anliker, Sullivan, and Martin made up the second unit....the Mids
