History of the Naval Academy Men's Club Lacrosse Program
In the early 1990s, a group of midshipmen began to play “pick-up” lacrosse on Farragut Field, in order to satiate their desire to play competitive lacrosse at the Naval Academy. The original squad established a goal that continues to serve as the bedrock mission of “Club” - play lacrosse, have fun, and make life-long friends in the process. The team quickly gained a following and within one year, the rag-tag group became a sanctioned extracurricular activity and joined the NCLL. Since then, Navy Club Lacrosse has won 4 national titles and has made numerous appearances in the final four.
