Juggernaut eddy manifold structure - Animation of possible Juggernaut eddy from Dec 15, 1999 to Jan 14, 2000. This eddy was comprised of three different intersecting Manifolds. Two unstables manifolds were evolved from DHTs located at lon = 93.0 lat = 25.9 on Nov 22, 1999 and lon = 86.6 lat = 25.7 on Nov 25, 1999. A stable manifold was also needed that originated from a DHT located at lon = 91.3, lat = 26.8 on Jan 1, 2000.Juggernaut blob animations

Locality of trajectories over 10 days - A trajectories are run from a uniform gridded initial position at time Oct 10, 1999 to an end time of Oct 20, 1999 (+15 days later). The final position is then compared with the location of the juggernaut ISP at Oct 20, 1999 (indicated by the red circle) by calculating the distance in kilometers for each trajectory point. graph is then created showing these distances and is superimposed over the vector field of the current speeds on Oct 10, 1999. Locality of trajectories over 20 days - The same results as above but the eddy and trajectories are evolved for 20 days (Oct 10,1999 to Oct 30, 1999). The FTLE field generated from the backwards integration was superimposed onto the FTLE field generated from the forwards integration The max of the field is identified with the black curve.
