Driving/Lodging
This year visiting students, military included, will be staying at the Westin Annapolis Hotel
on West Street in downtown Annapolis . Westin is within walking distance of all downtown attractions
including the Naval Academy. Walking time to the Naval Academy will take twenty-five minutes, so
visiting guests are encouraged to dress for long, outdoor walks in January.
There will be vans shuttling from the airport to the hotel as well as from the hotel to the Academy for all mandatory events.
A schedule of the conference events will be provided at the hotel upon arrival.
Driving directions and other hotel information is available at the hotel's website.
USNA Access
Vehicles without Department of Defense decals will not normally be admitted through Academy gates
and public parking areas are limited. If you enter the Academy on foot, use Gate 1 or Gate 3 on
King George St. Important: All participants should expect to show a picture ID to enter the grounds.
Cost
Individual schools or participants cover the cost of a flight to BWI. Ground transportation to the hotel will
be provided courtesy of USNA. The Hart Foundation and the Class of '38, provides all other expenses, including
the hotel, meals, and local ground transportation to and from the hotel. Instructors/Faculty will need to provide
their personal expenses to cover the cost of lodging.
